Heart and soul As seed sown To prompt putrid growth Against disaster. Awaiting The machinery. Since it and all are connected Here, there and everywhere You can’t swap pulse of blood, Flow of life for oil I’d sooner build a pyre Stacked with all you bastard liars Than snap a single twig From any lonely tree. Climbing towards the heavens; At one with the forest floor Reaching out for breached skylines Heart and soul planted; Lust for concrete Suffocating the wilderness. Tearing down our forests In pursuit of worthless trinkets? What’s good, great and real Is as nothing to the pull of the moon. Climbing towards the heavens; At one with the forest floor Reaching out for breached skylines Heart and soul planted;

Orbits 04:42
Countless suns snuffed out up here as the ages came and went. Born in defiance of relentless lack of progress. We are adrift amongst dead stars and ghosts of light long spent. Hanging nowhere in the afterglow of happen-stance. We are adrift; unhappy bi-products of irrelevance. Insignificant accidents. Jittering illusions of something resembling meaning. Whimpering into insignificance Once the last of the lights makes its excuses and leaves. By chance we twist and turn here Broken perception used as a weapon against the roaring night. Cosmic dissonance warping whatever signals May have given sense to this failed race. Not afraid to face the also-rans. Not afraid at all. Not afraid. Not at all. Endless orbits rolling around in this desecrated tomb, watching the suns rise, the suns fall. At least I imagine we do. Countless suns snuffed out up here as the ages came and went. Born in defiance of relentless lack of progress. Tired sparks lining up to fizzle out as if they never were.

Plateau 04:10
Devoid of light The blackened forest Reaches toward the star haze. connecting up the roots Into the heavens and the soul. Connecting everything. These roots are searching But we removed all the resources. Restrict the growth! Allow nothing to progress. Serenity. Obscured by the smoke From the burning ground. Managing the plains. Destroy the rhythm. Sever the branches And return to our primitive ways. Restrict the growth! Allow nothing to progress. Extending to the bodies of light, Deep-rooted in the wells. Burning the lungs of the earth Ash will feed upon ash. Sever the branches And return to our primitive ways. Restrict the growth! Allow nothing to progress. Nothing.

Between the woods and frozen hearts The darkest evening of the year. Eyes wide open on high seat Unquiet death, malevolent. Howl yourselves to death. A corpse coal black, a witless wreck. A walled grave for a soul to rest. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep. And miles to go before I sleep.

Vulture 04:14
It crawls up the wall This vulture. Clinging onto Concrete forests. Wings set, posturing, Spewing gall and bile. A fine mist of poison, Seeping in. Butchered innocence, Choked humanity. We shall triumph in hate. In hate: glorious hate. Picking the bones, Pulling at morsels - Tendons, sinews Marrow, blood. It breathes, coughs, retches, Testing its voice, the range of tone, the Lies. And how the ears and eyes Receive them. It practices a death song, To the banging of drums, Louder and louder - the ears accept it. This is its anthem.

Rich descendant of its Poor and stupid ancestors. Hoard-obsessed giant, Arms wide on its mountain. “Oh yes, I am the light. A rainbow shines out of my face . Shadow-cast your little minds with Crazed joy - keep you in your place.” Falling through dispersing fog Turning to a broken ghost. Scattered about like the stars On pitch black. Feet fused with foundations of stone, Too much time to roar and stare. If its face had formed, it would have Mouth contorted in a grimaced grin. Delirium – you’re blind to its cloud-stride, Trembling bones at laughter’s crack, Shivering in spatters of cold rain. Yet the little feeble chant comes back: That poor mortal tragedy, Necks bent, shuffling in the dark. Overshadowed by the mountain giant. Poor giant, as the light dims, This light illusion blurs and breaks - The cloud shifts, disturbed and rolling, Pierced through by jagged peaks. It ends, curled up, foetal, Imagining its mother’s arms Falling through dispersing fog Turning to a broken ghost. Scattered about like the stars On pitch black.

Hope sinks into the horizon Retreating to the West. Shadows reach out, begging for a place to hide. Stretched to their limit, They fade, dissolving into dusk. Darkness has arrived. Howling down through the vale salting the earth. The splintering of bones The destruction of minds. Nothing escapes him. Nothing can escape.

Made a home Amongst the swarf and the shrapnel. Built a shelter Against the remaining bombs With the shattered shells Of the previous payload. So we've knocked up a pathetic cathedral Out of the detritus So you can kneel Amongst the blasted remains of the pious And pray like all Hell That the next miserable load Drops right here On the halfsmiles left by the rest of us. So now you're all raining fire down In the name of man-made constructs. I care not a damn for their names. They were born of the same desperation, The same grasping need As every other. From the selfish nature of men Who could not, who would not Shoulder blame for themselves.
